The Vermont Tartan and its Dress equivalent were designed by the family of Lilias MacBean Hart, a Scot who resided in Wilmington Vermont. The rights to this tartan were gifted to the St. Andrew's Society of Vermont who reference its adoption by the Vermont state legislature.
